AI-Assisted Automation Kickstart Workshop

Use AI to generate your tests, without sacrificing determinism.

In this workshop, we help your team set up the AltTester® AI Extension and adopt a workflow where an LLM authors your tests once, under your review, and then steps out of the loop. What your team leaves with is a deterministic Robot Framework suite it can run forever, with no model involved at runtime, no tokens, and no decisions made mid-test.

Most AI testing tools keep a model in the loop on every run, which trades away the one thing a test suite exists to give you: a result you can trust. We focus on using AI at the right point in the cycle, so you get the speed of generation without the nondeterminism, false positives, and false negatives that come from letting an LLM decide what happens each time.

The model writes the suite once at generation time. The deterministic suite then runs forever with no LLM, no tokens, and the same result every time.
The expensive, non-deterministic step happens once, under your review. What you keep runs for free, forever, deterministically.

What you will accomplish

  • Installing AltTester® Desktop and instrumenting your game can be done beforehand
  • Setting up the AI Extension: the CLI and the MCP server, connected to your AI coding tool
  • Installing the AltTester® skill with alttester install-skills, and choosing between the Robot and Helper skills for your team
  • Generating your first tests from your own documentation and existing test cases
  • Reviewing and approving the AI’s plan and locator reference before any tests are generated
  • Understanding the generated three-layer structure: actions, checks, and flows
  • Running the suite deterministically with alttester run-tests and reading the dashboard report
  • Knowing when the agentic approach is and is not appropriate, and how to keep your suite deterministic
  • Getting tips for fitting the generated suite into your CI pipeline

Disclaimer: the amount covered during the workshop will depend on the complexity of your project, your existing test documentation, and the experience of the people joining.

Workshop details

  • Delivered online
  • 3.5 hours, with a 10-minute break
  • Interactive
  • Output: Robot Framework
  • Helper skill path also supports existing C#, Python, and Java suites

Price

1,200 EUR(+VAT if applicable)

Who can join

  • Anyone from your team is welcome to join, up to 10 people

What you need to prepare before the workshop

  • Claude or GitHub Copilot access for everyone joining the workshop
  • An instrumented build of your game, with the AltTester® SDK inside it, connected to AltTester® Desktop. If you prefer, we can use one of our own sample games instead.
  • On one person’s computer: an IDE such as VS Code, the instrumented game, and Claude Code or GitHub Copilot access already configured. We will work on this person’s computer via screen share.
  • At least one existing test case or smoke set, since the workflow generates from your real documentation
  • We can provide an AltTester® license for the workshop, and we can sign a mutual NDA before we start if you prefer

After the workshop

  • A shared Slack channel where we answer follow-up questions for 2 weeks
  • The slides used during the workshop, and a recording if wanted
  • The generated suite and skill configuration, which are yours to keep

Schedule a working session and we will get your team set up, the right way.
