AltTester® at Gamescom 2026: AI-assisted testing for game dev, and what’s next

It’s that time of the year again: AltTester® is heading back to Cologne for Gamescom 2026, and honestly, we look forward to this one every year. We’re bringing updates on where test automation is headed, especially with AI constantly in the mix.

For us, it’s been quite a busy year. Since we last met at Gamescom, we’ve officially launched our AI Extension with MCP server support, rolled out Secure WebSocket (WSS) support, and introduced the AltTester® CLI and AI Skills, each one aimed at the same goal: making test automation fit naturally into how modern game teams actually build and release.

And we’re not done. We’re continuing our development in AI-assisted automation, with new capabilities in the works. However, we’ll be sharing more on that in person at the event (so make sure to add us to your meetup calendar or stop by our booth 😉).

What we’re there to talk about

  • AI-assisted testing – how we’re approaching it, what we’ve built so far, and where we see it going for QA teams over the next year
  • Engine coverage – built for Unity and Unreal alike, so your automation isn’t limited by which engine your team works in
  • Customized packages, not one-size-fits-all – we tailor the tool, testing services, support, and training to how your team actually works, whether you’re a mid-size studio or AAA
  • Partnering with studios who need both a reliable tool and a team that stays close, getting involved in finding the best solutions when things get challenging or need adapting

…and more. We’re always up for a conversation. So, if you’ve got an idea, a proposal, or a cool/innovative project, we’re genuinely interested in hearing about it; we’re easy to reach and happy to dig in.

Meet us at Gamescom

You’ll find Alex (CEO), Ru (CTO), and Dolly (Implementation Manager) at the RGDA (Romanian Game Development Association) booth (Hall 3.2, A41) throughout the event. If you’d like to lock in time in advance, reach out via LinkedIn (either through the AltTester® company page or directly to one of our team members) or book directly through the MeetToMatch app. We’ll be there from Wednesday to Thursday (Aug 26–27).

Whether you’re a QA lead, a business development contact, or making the call on tooling for your studio, we’d like to hear what testing looks like for your team right now, and where AI fits into it. See you in Cologne.
